Have had a semi "roomie" for awhile, old/young friend fresh outta Army/Afghaniland
Talked bout him needing a place even before I got hurt at work, like 6 months ago, (our 3rd bdrm never used) to go back to refinery welding, he's 26 daddy to be, met him when he was 18 and all rest of us were all in our late 30's early 40's, working under ground construction-tunnel/trench rats, a great, mature "kid" who learned building houses as a kid - hadnt seen him in maybe 3 ish years before he deployed, combat engineer, decorated quite a bit, saw some nasty shiznit, amazing, not charging him rent , he's got some PTSD issues (I found out I may too now) works his azz off 12 hr days, forgets to turn lights off, little stuff, have to get on him in a positive way, "clean bathroom once a week", just basics and I leave him post it notes, he makin good money, but picks up beer, ciggees, some light groceries, will be building own home in TX soon(few months) and i will then rent out room to college student I think for approx $550 a month, but son and girlfriend here off and on during week too to help, I guess I'm just sayin is nice to help someone out even if you're not at your best
Oh and good grief girllfriend spoils him when she's here!!! He's young enough to be our kid, even though we have 4 total, but just 2 at home, LOL
