Have a question on tearing apart a carb on a 1992 johnson 30hp

Well my motor isn't wanting to idle so I tore apart the carb to give it a good cleaning and saw that a little rod seemed to be bent. I have no idea what it is so I'll just post some pictures. I was just wondering if this is normal?

looks normal to me, and i wouldnt try to center it, as its a bit delicate.

That little rod is the idle tube. Don't mess with it, just make sure it's clean.
