harlan county lake?

anyone been there?
anyone been there this season?
any insight about this lake? lake water quality?

i'm thinking of going there.

so far all i'm finding is that it is a fed lake. i don't know the ramifications of that vs a state lake like i usually frequent. i read it has a few stumps. how bad is that? i want to tent camp. better yet. camp off my boat from the beach. i can't find any rules or info on this.

just any first hand knowledge would be helpful.

darn, no one knows anything about this lake. it supposed to be the second largest in nebr.....

I haven't been there since it filled back up early last year. I know there are alot of trees sticking out of the water close to shore now that the lake has filled back up. Earlier this year they were catching alot of nice walleye there and now the white bass should be running.

thanks for the heads up. i had heard that. i get the drift too. now the stumps are submerged... that sounds a little scary which is why i'm trying to find out the low down on that lake. uso's are could be a real drag..

any other tid bits ya can offer me.. is it a sand lake? mud? nice shoreline suitable to pull up and beach a boat on? general water quality?

Mostly mud banks, used to be able to pull of on some of them. I know of a couple of spots south side of lake you used to be able to beach a boat but not alot of them on the lake. I have heard not alot of submerged trees most of them are 5-10 ft above water, but that is hear say. Water quality has always been real good. Overall always been a real good lake to go to.
