Hardy Dam Pond (Michigan)?

I am planning on spending next weekend at Hardy Dam Pond with the intention of doing some fishing. Has anyone been there lately? I am looking for some input as I have no experience on that body of water.

I have a friend that fish's Croton all the time. He like it (I dont fish) he says that Hardy has to many big boats and to many waves that is why he goes to Croton.

I wondered about the big boats on Hardy. If it gets too crazy, I might try Croton. I was at Hardy on Monday evening and it did not look too crazy. Today (Saturday) it looked a little more like it could go bad in a hurry. Oh well, the camping is cheap, and I can always trailer to a different lake if necessary.
