I was cleaning the outside of my aluminum boat with just soap and water and when it dried I still saw the same water spots I was trying to rid my boat of. It is painted a nice metallic blue over the aluminum. What methods or products would you recommend that get rid of these spots. I have used tons of elbow grease but to no avail.
Thanks

Re: Hard Water Spots

distilled white vinegar works well for removing hard water spots from painted surfaces and glass. find a shady spot, soak a clean, soft cotton towel or microfiber (prefered) with vinegar, apply with gentle circular motion, rinse clean. do small sections and dont let vinegar dry, wash with a boat or auto wash liquid (NOT DISH SOAP!), wax with your favorite wax. (note: vinegar strips wax). if you have any questions, just let me know :D

Good Luck

You can't do better than detailer's solution. Acid is the key and viniger is a good choice. It won't hurt the finish. Besides, his name sounds like he should know.
