Happy Easter weekend

So this weekend marks the begining of spring for us.
This year the snows 80% gone and we did our annual spring big bonfire in the field last night.
Tonight over to the neighbours for some Swiss/Dutch cuisine and tomorrow a ham, MMMMM.

Wife got solid chocolate easter bunnys this year, (I always start by biting the head off )

Kids are 15 & 17, but still decorate eggs and wife hides em. Enthusiasm has waned a bit so the dog does most of the finding. Kids like watching the dog snoop around and I still like egg salad sandwiches this week. Won't be long before it will just be me wanting the egg hunt.

we do easter in a different way my daughter only comes over every 2nd weekend. she is either undecided as to what she wants, or honestly doesnt know.
she also is not a big chocolate and candy fan, she will also drink juice or water before she drinks sody pop.
first kid i ever heard of thats like this.
so because i dont know what an 11 year old wants we take her on a shopping spree and let her pick out a few items at easter
christmas we get her some stuff but take her out shopping either boxing day or the day after she gets a card with a homemade voucher for one day of shopping so that she can have something to open

Did the Easter Vigil Mass last night and headed to the in-laws today.

Third Easter in a row, the first hummingbird of the season showed up on my porch this morning. A male ruby throat. The huge flock of goldfinches who winter here has left for northern climes. The whole wild world arises today.
