Re: Happy Birthday Kiwi Phil
Thank you everyone.
I looked for "my birthdate" post. Not there!!!! Took 24 hrs for that penny to drop.
The big 65 this year, here the legal retirement age.
Anita (wife) gave me the 'gold watch', from the 'firm', for sort-of doing what I am told, sometimes, for 30 yrs. (Longines - not flashy - just right - she understands me).
We decided to work on for 10yrs but have plenty of holidays - been pretty much non-existant in the past.
Our National pension is small, means tested on assets & income, so we miss out - again.
Last night she springs a fantastic surprise party with maybe 20 close friends, all arriving at once, with caterers putting on a great dinner, (and I have a yrs supply of good whiskey).
It was a really good night.
I am really thankful of Anita. She runs ever aspect of my life just as I like it. My youngest tells a story. The presenter of a TV Chat show asked the panel if they ever took money from their spouses purse/wallet. I asked Anita if she had ever taken money from mine. "What do you mean? Its me that's been putting it in there for the past 30 years!!". I .... can't imagine how I missed that.
Anyway, thanks for the wishes.
Hoping all will be blessed with another good year.
Cheers
Phillip
