Hand Gun Owners.. Luger P.08

I have just been given charge of a 9mm German Luger (P.08)ser number 3671 and every part is stamped with 71 meaning its all original I think.<br />Even in a Luger 35/8" no 6001 holster (sp)<br /><br />Anyone know anything about it?? Thinking of buying it from BIL<br />Or at least making a fair offer.

Match numbered! That is a great find but I will caution you... in the late 70's there was a scandal that people were "re-numbering after market pieces" to create a phony match numbered piece.<br /><br />But ... yes the stamping of the last two digits was an armorers practice.
