Hello,

I have a hairline fracture that goes about an inch across one of my prop blades. How important is it that i get this replaced or fixed. Does running the boat with the fracture in the prop going to cause damage or just ultimately hurt the performance?

Thanks,

Garrett

I would buy and install a new prop, then maybe have your prop with the crack repaired by a propeller shop, and use it for a spare. If you lost a blade at speed, it would not be good!

Re: Hairline Fracture

That was the same advice my marina gave me. Wasn't sure if they just wanted more $$ from me or that was the correct response.

I know what new ones should cost. Any idea what a repair for something like that goes for?
