Had a great river trip this weekend...

Went with my brother on his anual River trip this year. <br />Put in at st.peters MO, ran north through 2 locks to Luisiana MO... about 70 miles by water each way. stopping at sand bars along the way.<br /><br />We stayed at a hotel and came back sunday.<br /><br />Everyone brought food.... had enough food to last a week. Never ate so much shrimp in my life!

It was nice to get away, as my boat has been in the driveway since the end of june. <br />saving up for our wedding next month... can't find the pennies to fix boat... and as soon as I do.. those $60 a weekend fuel cost add up quick.

ndemge, I can definitely relate to that. The Mako I have has a 150 gallon tank and usually a good trip is a $100+. I recently started a new job with the railroad and they have already started cutting back so right now I am in work out of work sort of thing until I get laid off so the pennies aren't there for pleasure right now. Plenty of time and no money. I'll stop there before I get started. Congrats on your wedding, hope you and yours a lifetime of on the water pleasure!! <br /><br />TAZ

ndemge, looks like you'll have a fishin buddy for life. My wife told my youngest stepson{then 16} he was getting a stepfather for his birthday, and he did but I don't think he liked it much . I have a 4and 8 yr old grandsons. The 8 year old loves to fish but I don't get the time I'd like to take him. Hope that changes soon!!<br /><br />TAZ
