Guys and gals please tell us results of fix

Many problems and many great answers and alot of times no one comes back to the forum and tells us what solved the problem.I know alot will never do that because maybe they come here once or twice and have no need to come back once there problem is solved.But for some who do it would be appreciated if u tell us how u fixed the problem of if it wasn't worth the cost etc.Some people may not have lots of money and or time and if they have the same problem they may be able to bypass some of the suggestions if they read other similar posts.Just trying to be helpful is all.Keep up the good work guys,as all of your answers and expertise are appreciates. steve b.

Couldn't agree more, airmech. Sometimes we put a lot of thought into helping with a problem and never hear how it turns out. One I particularly remember were the Texas OMC's that idled fine at the lake, but wouldn't idle properly in saltwater at the coast. Would have liked to have heard how our ideas on what was wrong turned out, but never did.

I don't seem to find an option to turn on email notification to a post reply. It's hard to keep track of my posts when someone has responded. I think some people don't come back because they don't know someone has tried to help. Is this option available some where? Please let me know.

What i do is go to search and type my user name (airmech)and all of my questions in the forum pop up

Notification. Yes, that's a choice that can be made on other sites and has worked well for me also. Keeps me informed of new and updated posts. <br /><br />However, on this site with its vast range of activity, I'm afraid that we would find our mail boxes overflowing.

email notification is great.<br />they have it as an option on the bayliner forum, you check before you post. <br />it just lets you know that you got a response, but it is posted on the forum.<br />it helps to guide you back to your original post.

I usually just click on the profile button for myself and it has a little hyperlink to posts I made ... <br /><br />keeps me busy!<br /><br />But it sure would be nice to have people come back and post the sucesses that they have, let people know that they actually utilized the information, and that they found satisfaction in the answer they recieved<br /><br />and ... others would know it actually worked!

No sirreee, you're not going senile or any where (I HOPE), I've read and searched for practically all your posts and you're one appreciated guy here.<br /><br />2k boat<br />that's exactly my feeling. the email notification only tells you that a reply has been posted to something you've said. it doesn't actually contain the reply or message at all. sorry if I misled anyone

like for example, I posted above, both you guys joe and 2k boat would have gotten something in your email that I posted a reply and you just click on the link in the eamail and you're done. yyyeeehhhh. easy.
