I have a Volva Penta 5.7 GXI that won’t start. I assumed it was the starter, because I’ve had that issue before, but after the change out, I’m getting the same results. I started looking for fuses that were blown and my Guest charger had both 5A fuses blown. I disconnected the battery and installed new fuses. Now one keeps blowing when o hook the batteries back up. It’s the one with brown wiring with a black stripe. Any idea how to fix this issue?

Welcome to iBoats

Start by checking your batteries. A fully changed Bat will read 12.6 to 12.7V.
If the Bat reads much lower then that it could be it has a shorted cell

If Bats read good then it is probably the charger

Brown with black is bilge pump.
Check to make sure the pump is not burned up. A stuck float switch will do that
