Grumman 14' Jon Boat Capacity

Hi, I have a 14' Grumman Jon Boat(Aluminum). The width at the beam is 57" and at the rear (stern) 55". The lettering on the "bow plate" has been obliterated by the sun and I need to know the maximum weight capacity of the boat to transport camping equipment from the shore to one of the islands in Lake George. Eric I suppose that you have reserved one of the states campsites on Lake George. I did this last summer and had a fantastic time. If you make an early morning start the lake will be calm and the trip most pleasant later in the day wind and boats can whip the lake up a bit. also if you havnt already found a marina for launching I would suggest you use the internet and find a place. you will have to get a lake permit for the boat and most marinas charge for car and trailer parking. Even with all the details to cover we really enjoyed our trip and hope to do it again<br /><br />graybeard
