ground wires

ok...i have real problems with galvanic corrosion.my question is: I have two green wires coming from back of boat (one looks like its goes to the drain plug area and the other is attached to a ground block in bilge) these wires go to a/c panel but are not hooked up. should they be and where? second, someone has installed mercathodes on this boat, they are hooked up to batteries, but im not sure they are working. any suggestions or help is appreciated. tnaks in advance

The best advise I can give you is to find a competent tech and take your boat to him. <br /><br />The mercathode system is usually coupled to an isolator and once you introduce an AC curcuit the whole shooting match gets mega complicated.<br /><br />Green wires are grounding safety wires and (with the addition of shore power) usually connect to a galvanic isolator. As I said, it gets very complicated - too complicated for a computer screen diagnosis.<br /><br />Aldo
