Hey fellas, I just pulled the 350 out of my new donor boat and would like to ground run it and winterize. I'm just wondering if the ground start procedure is any different for a 1987 vintage 5.7 than a 4.3?

I've run my 4.3 this way, jumper from 5 to 6 then power to 7...
engine start mov.wmv - YouTube

So yah, same thing for my 5.7 or different connections, eh?

Thanks guys:joyous:

Ayuh,.... Mornin' Jason,.... Ya, you can do it that way, or just jumper directly to the coil's (+) terminal, 'n to the starter,...

Same results, just different jumper points,...

Btw,... No reason to run the motor to winterize it,...
Just Drain the water out of it,...

You can head out this way buddy, I really should have something to float by summer, seriously. Roast beef sandwiches and I'll even have Jen whip up some brownies with frosting for us:joyous:
