Ground Issues

My 1985 Searay with twin 470s. I am having a problem starting starboard motor. I have port motor out right now. When I would go to start starboard motor to keep it going till port motor is done it would start right up. I have power everywhere on boat other than starting. It just clicks. Is it due to not having other motor installed and that its not completing ground or something else?

Also, when I use my trim button to raise both outdrives only one comes up. But when I use the trailer buttons and do them individually they both work.
Is this coused by bad trim sending units?

Having the other engine out shouldn't be a problem as they are two stand alone systems;that said, depending on how the battery ground cables were installed, it could be a ground issue. Start at the batteries and work your way toward engine.
