Gross Weight /Capacity

On an older boat with no sticker to indicate<br />gross weight or person/weight capacity how do you determine one or the other?

How big is boat, what is HP & how many seats??? That is where I would start!!! Let us know!!!

This is an 1965 Aluminun Viking (excelent condition)Length-13'4",Beam 46",Depth 19",Transom width 48",Transom Height 15.5".For the inland lakes i'm fishing,with a 5h.p.motor,trolling motor,battery,etc.would 700 lb. capacity,3 people be to much to assume,since there is no informational sticker on this boat anymore

So all three of you weigh 233.3 pounds each?You probably could run with three people, but I'm not sure you should. I've seen three people in smaller boats than that, but there isn't enough money that could get my non-swimming butt in that small of a boat...

Navigator,<br /> Thanks alot for information on weight capacities, Made it one of my favorites.There is alot of information and calculations for figuring all needed,in the mean time i'm going to see if Viking co. can send me some out dated info on this boat, even though they only build yaughts now they should have background.<br /><br /> Let Us Love The Boats and Fish!
