Re: grease in stator/flywheel?
a grease fitting for the bendix? where? I've never seen one and I have 5 2cyl yamaha motors in my garage right now. The only grease fitting (zerk) I've seen on a superjet is for the midshaft assembly - might be different for waverunners, though.
I think the OP is asking if there is supposed to be grease in there - no, there is not. But - if someone gets overzealous with the grease lubing up the crank seal, it will leak out and pool at the bottom of the case under the flywheel. I think I've seen that on almost every engine I've taken apart.
your flywheel and stator should be clean, dry and grease free upon assembly. The bendix should be lubed, but not dripping with grease either.
