GPS Unit

Hi guys,
looking to buy a new color GPS unit for the boat.
are there any units that are GPS only?
all the units that I am finding are combos fish finder W/ GPS
don't need the fish finder function, already have one on the boat that works great.

that's the problem, I don't how $1200 to spend on a good combo unit, so I figured I can save a little if I can find a GPS only unit.

hummingbird makes a great combo gps and fishfinder that can be bought online for under 500.00. you want to make sure you get one you can add a chip from navonics though. Most hummingbird units have this feature.

I don't have this exact unit, but I've had no complaints with my garmin thus far...

Right now the best bang for your buck in GPS are the Garmin 440 and 540 units.

Both can be found for under $400 and come preloaded with all the charts you need. Both units are network capable so you can add a fuel monitoring system, radar, sonar etc. to the system over time. If you buy now the G2 Vision chip is free after rebate.
