We were up at Eagle Lake in Canada last week. My 15 year old was just splashing his beast teaser on top of the water while I was moving the boat away from being too close to shore... and wham. The water exploded and a huge Northern swallowed his bait. It took about 7 or 8 minutes to get him in. It was 42" and I bet around 15 to 18 pounds. The look on his face when that thing hit was priceless. My 9 year old daughter was bummed as she had the largest fish caught so far, a 26" Walleye, but 15 minutes later she caught a 36" Northern. Great trip, lots of eyes in the belly and as much as we could bring back. Bunch of Northern too, let the big guys go to make more though. All in all a great trip. If you ever get the chance go to Cedar Point Lodge and say hey to Pat and the guys up there. They will treat you nice and they have a campground for motorhomes 5ers and tenters too. We go there twice a year, June and July. It was the best this year because of the great weather.
