Dallas welcome to iboats and with the Pics The Starcraft club :D. I would be carefull about removing those benches as they may be part of the structure on her . I could be wrong but I would be carefull so you dont end up with a boat thats only good for a garden planter afterwards.

Dallas that should take care of it also adding a deck should help . I would try to tie the new boxes in with some alumninum as well which should also help keep her structurally intact. Most of the Larger Starcrafts have Ribs running across the bottom of the hull as well,

Rick this old gal has ribs on bottom thats what i am going to let my decking sit on also going to run plywood up the sides it will add support plus look better and give me a place to mount things. i started geting the garage cleaned out and got the old girl in today got a bit more cleaning to do to garage then i can jump in with both feet this wont be that big of a project but lots of sanding on the trailor and some mod's it will pass the winter and thats a good thing
