Gonna head to the mountians and do some trout fishing here next month. I know the end of July is not the best time but it is what I could plan around other obligations. I admit I fish Cherokee and the stocked streams but I have also spent a day or two outside there fishing other waters. This is the first year I plan on fishing exclusivly with flies and my fly rod (usually I fish bait to catch a few then go back to it when I get tired of not catching fish). I would like suggestions from anyone who may have fished this area on what flies work the best. I plan on using some traditional nymphs, dries and of course my favorite fly the muddler but I was also thinking an egg pattern or perhaps a san juan worm. I realy want to catch them on flies so any suggestions would be appreciated.
