ok i have an older method of wiring in my boat where it connects to a terminal block. for some reason the fill pump for my live well doesnt work. Its connected to the same point on the terminal as my bilge pump and it works. The switch on my dash looks connected with no loose freyed wiring. there isnt any wires that are cut at all yet it doesnt work. The same applies to my nav lights. Can someone explain

Re: got me stumped

Miloman - Terminal blocks are good things. IMO, all boats with more than 2 wires should have them.

Your problem sounds like a job for a multi-meter (or a light bulb with a couple of wires). This is going to be easier to solve with some simple probing. If you want to post a detailed description of the nonfunctioning circuits (all wiring from the battery to terminal blocks, switch, and pump), folks here will offer suggestions on probing techniques and locations.

Without a meter you will have to bypass every element in the circuit, one at a time, until you isolate the nonfunctioning component.
