Got a starting problem.

Today i was out on the lake going about 20ish and it just died out of no where. Then i looked and the fuse was popped for the igition on my dash. I replaced it and it popped again. I checked everywhere for a short and couldnt find one. I bypassed the fuse to try that for the heck of it and motor turns over but wont kick on. I'm sure theres a million different things it could be but what are like the top 5 or 10 things i should check out first. Thanks

I can give you the top ONE

Look for a short - start tracing wires until you find the damaged one.

Its a 3.7L MCM 170 by the way.

What size fuse did it have?
