OK here is the deal. i got a 14 foot crosby sea sled a few weeks ago for free... i decided that 14 foot is just a bit much for a 79 c10 short bed. i posted a ad on craigslist looking for a cheap trailer i could fix up for it. in the mean time i found a 50 hp merc. 500 for 50 bucks. i talked him down to 30 and took it home. hooked the muffs to it and hooked up a fuel line. three quick tugs with a pull start string and it fired right up but didnt pump any water so i figure it needs a water pump. so! i got a email about a trailer that said " i got a trailer you can have if you take the boat with it" i went out last night and looked at it.
it needed lights and tires to be moved. i went home and got 2 tires and some magnetic tow lights. i went back and jacked it up and pulled the wheels off. after about a hour each i got the tires off the wheels with a pry bar and screwdriver. used the same thing to put the other tires back on and took them to the gas station (that didn't sell starting fluid) but i got the beads set with there 50 cents a min. air pump. after about 2 hours messing with the electronic trim on the boat i got the motor up high enough to tow it. the guy wrote typed the bill of sale up as a salvage boat, motor , and trailer. printed it with his name and address on it but didn't put any HIN number on it or serial number for the trailer because we couldn't find one in ether.
now i got it home and im trying to figure out what the boat is. year? make?
all it says on the side is special edition in old english letters. the motor is a evinrude 140 v4. the trailer says sothern draw on it. any one know what it is?
im going to try to post some pics in just a min. the pics make it look really bad but it is solid as a rock.
and sorry for bad picture quality its a cheap phone.
