Anybody using Google Earth software? All I get a mono screen with a few scattered white dots. It looks like it should be a great way to study and area before fishing, but I just can't see anything.

Some of the areas of the map are not up to date or there is no picture of that region available from the satellite. Try another area of the map that is densely populated and make sure that works right otherwise you might have a problem with computer/program compatibility.

Yes I use it and there are parts of the world that are not clear..thats not your problen but when they took the pic.( I believe) China now I think blocks. When I get to the location I zoom in right away brfore the 100% res.say 700'<br />A friend got the $20 upgrade about the same< not worth it..my thoughts. Lon/Lat get you on target right away.<br />Try the direction map a good tool as well.<br />Enjoy your flight!<br /><br />Michael

Just installed it the other day...pretty cool. Some lakes, you can see the underwater points.<br /><br />One thing I noticed though...I thought there was an ice cap at the North Pole, but it looks all blue...is that the greenhouse effect? :D Or maybe I just couldn't find it...does anybody know the GPS coordinates of the North Pole?
