I know we all have to go sometime, and at 88, he lived a long, productive and good life. But it is still sad to know that Mr. Hockey is not there any more. He was a class guy and a great player.
One of my childhood heros gone. Probably could throw the best hip check of anyone who played the game. Seemed to also know which way the referees were looking at all times. He was once was quoted "that after the first game of the season I was out of the running for the Lady Byng Trophy (the NHL's sportsmanship award}." RIP Mr. Howe
