Good website for auto parts online?

Anyone have any recommendations? I was changing the plugs on my 2001 4Runner the other day and sheared the bolt that holds the ignition coil (direct coil on the 4Runner) to the valve cover. My attempt at using a reverse drill bit was...not successful and I'm trying to see if replacing the entire valve cover is cheaper/easier than the alternative.

What site do you use to buy parts online?

I use rockauto a lot. Can you just bolt the coil elsewhere?

+1 on rockauto. Before you checkout, look online for the coupon code for 5% off. You put the code in the "how did you hear about us" section at checkout.

Not to hijack this thread... Bruce I am glad to find about about rockauto. How fast are their delivery times? They appear to coordinate drop shipments from vendors.

I'll throw in another vote for Rockauto.

Depends on where the item ships from, and you don't know that until you have purchased it and receive the shipping info, (they list the warehouses as A, B, C, etc., not their location ) I ordered some stuff while up in WI and got it in 2 days since it shipped from their main WI location. Ordered a couple more parts while in WI and it took almost week to get the parts from NY....... Here in Vegas, I expect 4-5 days.

Everything I receive from them comes in a Rockauto.com box.

Rockauto, well, rocks. For dealer-only items, join a forum devoted to your brand. They may have a dealer that gives members discounts.

For my Lexus, I am a member of ClubLexus.com. They have a deal with Sewell.com for Lexus parts.

Honestly, I can't remember the last time I bought an actual part from a parts store, everything I have needed in the last few years, I was able to get on ebay for less money than a parts store.

I have used Rock Auto 75% about successful. They sent the wrong side brake caliper 3 times, finally bought it locally for about $2 more.

I have found one of the local parts houses is very competitive with most online providers. Also get it the same day in most cases.

Have used _ bay with good success, just have to wait for it.
