Good repair Books for mercruiser????

Looking for a good repair book for mercruiser engines. I have a 3.0 4 cylinder mercruiser that is having some problems. If anyone could recommend a good repair book for this engine I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Why doesn't anyone ever post a year??? Do you all think nothing changes over the years?

Do you have a serial number for the engine? Being as you have a 98 boat, you very well could have a 97 engine.
IF, it is a 97, then the engine and drive manuals are online.... FREE.
If it's actually a 98, only the drive manual is online.

Very interesting, is the 3.0L in-line 4 1988 available online?

If it is, where is it. I looked at the mercruiser site but to no avail......

Nope, just the 90-97 3.0L

Anyone know if the 87 Mercruiser 170 OEM manual is online? I know the Alpha 1 is, but I don't know about the engine?
