Looking for opinions on good quality LED trailer lights. I see them everywhere from $38 a kit to $150. Any recommendations on a brand that will survive salt water?

Not too sure about "god" quality LED trailer lights, but most any type will work for a very long time. Most that I looked at all were totally sealed in some type clear epoxy type substance, there by making them impervious to most any type water conditions. AND they are very bright too, almost to the point of being a problem. So my guess would be most any type you like will work just fine. Some of the LED kits in the lower price ranges only come with the two taillights and no side markers. And some may only come with lights and no wiring. So that has a lot to do with the price ranges. I purchased a set of two taillights and then bought two side markers separately to suit my own likings. Hope this helps a little...

Look fo ones which do not use screws to hold the 2 halves together so they are sealed

Boating mag (online) did their boat lab test of a lot of different brands. Sorry I can't remember which one was the front runner but their website is easy to search.

I've replaced many many many trailer lights and I usually lean towards the cheaper ones so that WHEN they get stepped on, ran into, backed against something etc it's an easier pill to swallow.

As I typed that I just thought of a funny story: After a long day I was backing a trailer up my steep dark driveway until I heard a crunch, got out and looked, I backed the left light of said trailer into the right tail light of a jet ski trailer. Epic fail.

After reading Brian26 post I just ordered a $38 set of tail lights knowing they were going to die sooner or later. I may open them up and give them a nice coat of lacquer sealant if they have screws

I have found that to be the best way to do it, stick with $20 or less per light and $15 or less for the small square ones and replace when needed. avoid anything with screws as mentioned before and there is no way to know how well they will be sealed on the inside so just be sure they outside looks to be sealed well

I have "Peterson's". I have had zero issues with them. They are OEM to the trailer. ALL the lights on the trailer are Peterson and LED.

I was going to say, make sure what ever you get has the PC board encapsulated, but it's too late for that now :D

I bought a LED set from HF that wasn't encapsulated and the electronics on the board corroded (in freshwater), and LED's started dying. The set I have now (Blazer I think) has the board encapsulated and they have been going strong for 2 years or so.
