Well thanks to all of the help , you fella's gave me on my 9.8A3 . With Paul's help we got this puppy running like a Swiss Watch. Was a Rigging Problem as Paul said it would be. Now the Dealer says it's the right thing to do. Do WHAT.
Increase the height of the transom. I can email any one who would like to read about but you can go on line and read section 17 Rigging... These Motors are made with a height of 2 inches more than normal. So My 14+ transom wasn't good enough. I increased it to 15 7/8 and wow what a difference. Thanks again to all that helped me get my mind going in the right direction..

As the lady once said, "What a difference a couple of inches makes".

Glad you got it rigged and running right!

Just glad it all worked out. :)

Sometimes, reducing technical issues to layman's terms can be a bit tricky... ask any computer tech support person! But in the end, it's a combination of the results and the presentation of the info. Trust me when I say that I have inadvertently alienated a customer or two by not explaining things in terms with which they were familiar.

Incidentally, much of my rigging knowledge came from Msgr. Elvin. :)
