Does anybody know of any good boating lakes near Milwaukee Wisconsin?

Lake Geneva, southwest on Interstate 43; historical homes for shore bumping, great fishing, big enough to ski and tube til you drop.

Lake Delevan, possibly the best bass lake in Wisconsin, 12 miles further west of Geneva.

Obviously, Lake Michigan, since it is the closest.:D Gotta pick the right day.

Agree with burroak on Lake Delavan.:D
Really good fishing lake, Bass and Muskie. :) Big enough for tubing and Skiing. Nice little beach you can dock at to relax. Public launch fee $10.

Lake Geneva gets really crowded in town and on the water in the summer. I was told the public launch fee is really expensive, around $30.

Lake Geneva is a good choice, I grew up on that lake. Plenty of room to get out and do what you want to do although it is usually on the rough side. The launch fees weren't bad when I put my boat in there last but I think you can expect to pay between $15 - $25 and you need to get there early. Lake Delevan is a little less crowded and probably less expensive to get out on but I have never been on it myself.

If you go due west of Milwaukee on 94 there are a lot of smaller lakes but they are great to boat on. Pewaukee, Okauchee, Pine, Oconomowoc, Lac La Belle are all great lakes for for fishing or just cruising around.

The two Muskego lakes are a little south kind of on the way to Geneva but I never really liked them that much, really muddy and dirty in my opinion.

It all depends on how far you want to go, if I were you I would look at a map and go from there. Good Luck!

They covered south & west so, to the north...
Pike Lake near Hartford is a nice small lake, good crappie fishing.
Big Cedar near West Bend is also nice.

My personal favorite is Lake Winnebago. Lot's of places to go & things to do. Check out My Google Map link in my sig below.

Lake Geneva is a great all around lake, good fishing, large enough for tubing/skiing, great scenery, good restaurants a short walk from many docks, and party cove near Big Foot state park.Does get crowded, but so does Delavan, in the summer I do recommend a 20' minimum boat or you will get tossed around. I happen to live just a few blocks from a launch, so I am a little biased.
