good deal on mariner

i found this motor on craigslist and was wondering if it was a good deal. The ad says it was made in 1979 but i researched and couldn't find the 40 hp made before 1991. The motor doesn't look much older than the late 80's. Who made this motor (yamaha or mercury) and how hard would it be to find parts? I have been looking for a 40 hp tiller for months now and this seems like a deal.

That is a Yamaha built engine and 1979 looks about right. That series of engine ran from 1977 to 1987. After that the 40s were Merc built.
