Motor is a 60's - (still trying to figure out year). Has not run in a number of years. As part of troubleshooting a non start issue did a compression test and got 60psi in each cylinder (no real variation between the 2) after 5 hard pulls (WD 40 in cylinder). Ive read somewhere I should be getting 90 or more. Im currently debating if putting money into it. What do you think about those readings? Thanks

With 60-70 psi compression that mtr should run. Try to get it to run and do a good decarb on it.

Re: Good Compression on 6hp

60-60 is good compression for a rope start engine.

Putting WD-40 in the cylinders was a bad idea. WD-40 is not a lubricant, it is a water displacer (WD) and could have made your readings invalid.

Get her running, then do a proper compression test, as described in the Top Secret File ^^^. I expect you will get pretty much the same result: Good engine.
