Finally got on the water for the first time this season. So we've all seen people taking their sweet time at the public launch loading gear on their boat and getting it ready right at the ramp. Yesterday a guy was installing his outboard onto his tinny at the ramp! Wasn't that big a deal since there are 3 launch spots, but I thought it made a good SHT. I got there, prepped, launched and took off while he was tinkering with his boat just like he was under a shade tree working in his backyard

I watched a guy today putting his boat in by burying his truck up over the differential (in salt water!). Then his trailer floated off the ball on his trailer hitch so it was only attached by the two safety chains to his truck. When he pulled forward to retrieve his trailer from the water, the end of the trailer slammed into his step up bumper.... it was a miracle it didn't bite his tailgate.

Every day a new adventure! Never a dull moment at the boat ramp.
