Sweet lord, did you see the prices on that stuff. Those folks must be from another planet. I don't care if BUD carved a lifesize 10' muskie mount for me, $1400 is insane....$700 for the other? If those sell, I'm gonna be a rich man...just a branch from the back yard, a knife, and a crappy paint job and I'm in the money. Wow. By the way Nate....Boomer Sooner!

I can see SO your reasoning here but...example that fast back 1960 Mustang that sold for 2000 in 1960 now days is worth $5000 today..Famous artists paintings can sell for millions of bucks..<br /><br />Old Muskie lures are worth alot of money..They are never used as maybe you are thinking<br /><br />Look at my avatar..It is hand craved not made by a machine..Guy who makes these is very well known and his lures are collectables...I have used but its mostly to get a jab from my friends here..But they are used..<br /><br />Now if you are a pooter fisherman A shamoo fishn pole a bobber and some bait will suit you just fine..<br /><br />Folks that saltwater fish will spend 300 plus for a rig..The bigger the fin the bigger the rig,lure and the price..<br /><br />I fish for the gator and I spend anywhere from ten to 30 bucks on my lures caus you have to...Collectable lures up to a couple hundred bucks..<br /><br />What kind of fish do you hunt or do you even fish for that matter..I was trying to stay away from iboats for a while but you lured me and set the hook real well..<br /><br />Its not stupid to buy collectables..Wish I had saved all my comic books and baseball cards when i was growing up..<br /><br />Hopefully DJ will find no harm in this post..lol...Can't see no harm here do you Barlow,Spinner or Eurolarva..As muskie goes back into the lurking mode again.. <br /><br />Btw Smokeowner if you can create those lures try it sometime..Walmart may want to carry it..Don't get your hackles up here..I see you really don't dabble in the collectable world..

SO, collectibles are expensive. Don't matter what it is.<br /><br />If you have something, someone out there will buy it.<br /><br />Unlike gonfishn, I do have some old comics and baseball cards.<br />I even have a super size Superman comic that I am sure will go up in value now with the death of Superman, Chris Reeve.

How many here remember when i was bidding on 350 muskie lures???..I dropped out at 800 dollars..Had I got I would have sold half and got my Money back..they are selling still on ebay individually now..

Man, I gotta get out Grandpa's old tacklebox and make some mooonnneey! Got a bunch of great old lures, sure some of 'em have to be worth some bucks, but can't get rid of 'em for sentimental reasons - they are what Grandpa taught me to fish with!<br /><br />GF, good to see that Spinners little buddies brought you back to this planet for awhile. GF you hit the nail on the head, mostly. I've never really been into collecting things. I've tried every odd looking muskie lure I could find at my neighbors, relatives, garage sales, etc. as a kid and now that I'm back into fishing I'm starting over from scratch. But you were wrong in one other thing, I don't have a shamoo fishing pole in my boat. To the contrary, I have 2 spider man fishing poles...they have a bit more backbone and better guides than the shamoo variety...lol. <br /><br />FYI, I fish for Muskies and Walleye (or Saugeye depending on the lake here in SW OH). <br /><br />Any ideas what kind of "new" lures one could use for trolling at CC? From what I've heard there have been many in the 2.5'-3' range and one 3.5' fish taken from there this year. I've seen so much Shad around I'd think they were mainly eating that.
