golf cart problems

i have a harley davidson golf cart not sure of the year but i am guessing mid 80s. i pull out the choke and start it. after warming up i push in choke and it runs good. then after running a few minutes it will go to like a slow idle. complete loss of power. if i pull out the choke and get it in a certain spot it will start running okay. but i have to hold it in that spot. i have sprayed carb cleaner thru it. also ran some sea foam thru it. new plug. took out air filter thinking maybe it was clogged and it still runs the same. any ideas what my next step should be? thanks. just looked it up and the year is 1976

Re: golf cart problems

Could be partially plugged fuel filter. (should be able to blow through with ease)
Could be plugged fuel cap vent. (try with cap loosened)
Could be some crap floating around in the carb plugging off main jet.

I would start by cleaning the carb....
