Then he can come plow it. :D

No, the admiral isn't buying it either...

A foot of new snow, high winds making huge drifts and I have to plow today because we head back to sub-zero tonight and the stuff will be as hard as concrete.

Today I had the pleasure of 1/2" of solid ice coating every surface when I opened the front door at 0530hr. So frustrated with snow lately it made me call in work, cancel my classes and go back to bed. A first for me and it felt good to be honest.

....man you guys are really getting hit some bad weather this year.
We've had it pretty easy....I think 2 days of snow back in late november?...maybe 1" total, then it was gone. Today we are at/near freezing (which is cold here for us) and the sun is out...so I'll count my blessings. So long as that frikkin' PNW rain stays away....ha, ha.
We were back on the prairies last week in Saskatchewan and it was -32?c.....which was on the cool side...LOL.
I don't mind the cold too much....but that was a little crisp.

Milwaukee news yesterday stated that we've recieved 124" of snow already this season. 5" yesterday night and another 3-5" coming over the weekend. Currently it is -4, forecast high for today is 7. Historic avg. high for todays date is 30 and the avg. low is 13. Low temp forecast for tonight -6.

That was the tact I tried to take, growing up, with the leaves on the lawn from our two walnut trees. Needless to say, it did not work very well!

So, Whatever happened to Global Warming??????

This is the coldest winter I recall in the 12 years we have lived here in Saskatchewan (54 degrees latitude - yes this is the SOUTH HALF of the province)

Last year was our winter was the warmest this year I have a few choice names for it . I think I read somewhere that when Global Warming occurs is when you get the greatest swings of change . Where I live the Glaciers stopped here and by the rivers 200-300 feet of sand and gravel . At least we can put our power poles in the ground as where some of these members live they just pile rocks to support and topsoil is a treasure .

Oh I can remember cold spells like we've seen but not for such an extented length of time. As I stated elsewhere here in Wisconsin we've been 6-12 degrees below normal between October and Jan. 1. Then these past 6 weeks we have been well below that.

With the cold and snow amounts this season I'm beginning to fear we are going to have very high water this spring and the lakes will be closed to "No Wake" once again. I think it was 4 years ago these local lakes were closed for high water until 1st of July.
