Yep, we are at Watkins Glen this week for our next to last race before the Chase. With only 1 of the 16 Chase slots filled with a non-winner (Ryan Blaney and Martin Truex, Jr nipping at his heels), these next 2 races could majorly change the makeup of the Chase. Time will tell.

Watkins Glen International race course is in upstate New York and features 7 turns with 141 feet of total elevation change over the 2.45 mile track. The race is 90 laps long and will cover 22.5 (correction 220.5) miles, unless they need overtime to finish, or the rain that is expected on Sunday actually happens. This is the 39th trip to Watkins Glen International for the Cup Series, with the first visit in 1957. Kyle Larson is the defending winner of the race.

Practice for Sunday's race is Saturday at 12:05PM ET with qualifying at 1:05PM ET. Green flag racing starts at 3:05PM ET Sunday afternoon.

Make your picks and let's go racing, boys!

That is 220.5 miles not 22.5. No offense intended, just thought it should be clarified.

Someone sneak a decimal point into the total miles?

Rain coming down, but lightning has stopped … race starting soon.

Kurt Busch out this week and next week from his concussion… not sure if that will open up another Chase spot or not …

Guess NASCAR doesn’t want to much rain to run in … still waiting for the start …

These are your top 5.

After inspections we will find out Fantasy on Tuesday, but Smokin’ appears to have taken another 1st to extend his lead over FlaCowboy

Inspections have been completed and Smokin’ still holds the lead. We are headed to Daytona for the final race before the Chase, can Smokin hold his 95 point lead over FlaCowboy, or will his team collapse at the end? Will Jip overtake Cowboy? How will the other races play out? Will 64osby hold on to his place on the bottom? Oh, and will Blaney or Truex get the final spot, or will some other driver win to get in and leave both these drivers sitting on the outside looking in? There are a lot of Daytona questions!
