GM standard GM-6094-M SAE 30

I'm planning to change the engine oil on my 1999 5.0Gi PWTR and according to the docs I should use a GM standard GM-6094-M SAE 30 (Live in FL). Just looking for a brand recommendation.

Use whatever you want. Oil threads around here generally go no where, as everyone will have their own opinion.
Use what the manufacturer recommends, and if you can afford it - use synthetic. You can even buy oil straight from Volvo for your engine if you choose to go that route.

I use the Sierra SAE 30 Synthetic--direct replacement for the Volvo 30 Syn. since they discontinued it.......
