Recently had my battery level indicator gage for the 1993 Lund Pro V come off with the glass face. After reiving the gage (removed from boat) and all the parts (glass, rubber gaskt, and retaining ring, it appears that the glue finally let go. I have hold it together as it was originally with little force.

My question is what glue to use to glue it back together. These gages are hard to find in the white face and led lights. I have found one black faced on Ebay, but I would think glue is cheaper and I would like to explore that option first.

At first though I would think Gorilla Glue Gel, or Locti
So please let me know your opinion on this.

A PVC type cement might work. It will weld the two pieces together. See if you can get a combo cement for different kinds of plastic plumbing.

Try it on a small area and see if it tends to "melt" the plastic. If so, it might be the right stuff.

Of course you want the gauge as dry as possible before gluing. This time of year, many houses have low humidity.

Just as a follow up. I had Loctite Super Glue Gel. I picked off all the old glue and applied an even continuous bead all around the gage and put back together. I used 2 small thick rubber bands we took off the Broccoli we had from the night before and let it sit till the next day. Seams to be holding. I'll post this Sumer and give an update.
