glove compartment key

Hello.

This may sound like a silly question but I don't feel like breaking stuff on my boat.

I have a 2002 180sse and I only got 1 key with the boat for the ignition. I know that that glove compartment has a key lock mechanism but my ignition key will not lock it. It goes in but it does not lock.

Is there a second key just for the compartment or am I too delicate?

My cabin door uses a different key from my ignition.

I have the 2003 180...Mine has 2 keys that are not interchangeable.
