Glastron SX 175 with the Volvo Penta 3.0GLP-C

So this has happened twice...the engine alarm is sounding, but is barely audible. When the ignition is on and the engine isn't running, it is loud & clear. But then when the engine starts, the alarm continues going off only it's very half-hearted & weak sounding.

Guages all read normal, and both times I ended up disconnecting the buzzer and running the boat without issues for several hours.

After the first time, several weeks ago, I plugged the buzzer back in and didn't experience this issue the next few times we went on the boat. Then it all the sudden popped up again.

Grounding issue? Should I be looking at the riser sensor since the oil & temp are apparently still fine?

with the Volvo Penta 3.0

Which 3.0 do you have, it does matter.

Disconnect each of the alarm sensors one at a time while the alarm is lightly chirping and see which one is causing the problem.
You have three switches for the alarm, all have a tan/black striped wire to them. Engine temp, oil pressure, and exhaust overheat switch in the elbow.
