Hi everybody. Just got my first boat. Sold to me as a 1976 Glastron, but I'm not so sure. I've looked through the catalogs at classic glastron.com but none seem to look like mine. I does have some unique gauges.
The only numbers i could find are on a steel tag inside the splash well. On the port side if that helps. First row. DOT114025 55 CRS Patent IND se ond row says SV14-149 1240 SV14
Here's some pics.
Thanks

The general style of that boat looks older than 1976. Looks like mid 60's or older to me. It looks similar but not exactly like old glastrons I have seen. I have not seen a Glaston that didn't have the name Glastron prominently displayed on both sides near the stern. The gauges even though they look like new condition are a very old style. Again I think 1960's, late 1950's. In any event that boat is in mint condition for a 40+ year old boat. It must have either been garaged and not used for 40 years or someone did a fabulous job of restoring it. The ski tow bar looks like a recent addition. Sorry I can't say for sure if it is a Glastron or not but it looks older than 1976 and the more I look at it I am kind of doubting Glastron.

Early 1960s Skiflite is what I'm taking a guess at. If I understand Glastron's SNs right, maybe a '64? Maybe dig around HERE a bit and see if any of the numbers match up.

Thanks guys. I hoped the gauges would tip somebody off. I'll keep looking. The boat runs really good. Bit of trouble getting in gear, stalls if it hasn't had time to warm up. But with a 115 evinrude on the back she rips pretty good! I'll check of the 60s models some more.

Haven't seen an older Glastron where the windshield mounts in a raised grove like the picture shows where a windshield goes; don't think it's a Glastron

I agree. Looked lots now. The bow light is very different also. Really close to the windshield on a little pedistal. Just got alot harder to find in it now. Where to begin?
