Glastron 2003 SX 170 fuel gauge

Got a question on the fuel gauge not working. I think it's the sending unit. Can anyone help me with procedures on how to remove and install a new one or is it too difficult for the weekend mechanic?

If you can get to the top of the tank where it's installed, it's easy. But get one made for your tank; shallow tanks are seldom accurate due to the short swing. I use mine like a low fuel light on a car--when it says 1/2 Ineed gas and when it says 1/4 I better head to shore! (18 gallon belly tank)
