I have a mark twain I/O with trailer, floors need redone, motor shot, seats well there R just a mess. I don't have time or money to fix this and I don't know anyone who would want it or a salvage place to trash it, does anyone know where I can get rid of this eye sore. I also have another boat + trailer with no motor that I want to trash as well..

Don't forget that a trailer is worth money even if the boat is not.

If there is a Craig's List in your area, list it there for free; with removal due by a certain date. Make it clear that any transportation costs are the responsibility of the buyer ("taker")--

Also, in my area there are charities that will accept boats for resale. Judging by the shape of some of the boats at their facility, they would take yours.

If you offer it for free, you'll probably be surprised at how many inquirees show up.

Good Luck, Chuck

Just Google "Craigs List". It's a free ad site by area.

Craig's list in an internet classified board....free ads!

Here's the Chicago one...

http://chicago.craigslist.org/

or the general Illinois one...

http://geo.craigslist.org/iso/us/il

There are regional Craig List sites all over now.....rumor had it that the originator of the idea (Craig???) sold the whole thing to Google a while back. Not sure about that though.

Good luck, Chuck

when i want to get rid of one, i put it in the front yard, with a sign free boat. they never stay more than 3 days, and i keep my trailers. just tow it over and push it off in their yard. gotten rid of 3 that way.

Old FG boats make great backyard ponds when buried up to the gunnel.
