She had the TPMS (tire light come on) so she assumed tire(s) were low, went to gas station, no guage on air nozzle, so i check just now, ok get this, the poor little newish Hondas expensive Conti tires were at ONE HUNDRED and TEN lbs EACH!!!!, holy cow!!!! So after 20 mins of letting air OUT it's back to 32 lbs each, She was quite surprised and embarrassed, LOL :):twitch::fish:

Is weird it was saved I posted today, and i couldnt find it before?????
It's difficult to say exactly why there are so many duplicate topics and posts still happening from the initial big forum software changeover but it seems to us some of the lingering problems that pop-up out of nowhere may be related to the Auto Save feature.

The auto save feature is helpful due to it will save certain topics, posts or texts so you're able to go back to it to finish something up that you may have started in the past....But in turn it seems to be causing other forum issues.

Maybe it's time you buy her a tire psi gage... you know as a safety tool/gift.:)

I'm glad she didn't hurt herself filling the tire that high.

Maybe she thought the first hundred pounds were meaningless and was therefore trying to get the tire up to spec pass that...

Seriously, I thing she was extremely lucky in all do respect. I didn't know tires could be inflated that high without turning into a bomb!!

Very surprised the supplying compressor would give that much pressure in an automotive application.

I can see the pressure hose getting that high. It is the same source as the mechanics use for their air tools. But as on person wrote, I'm surprised that they didn't fail.

But it does remind me of a story my BIL (Tim) told me. Whe he was younger he worked in a service station. A lady Ina road trip pulled in for gas. Since this was a full service station she also asked him to check the tires. Because the weather was cold that day he didn't really want to do it. Anyway, he came up with a story about how his station didn't have winter air. They only had summer air. If summer air is used during the winter the tires could go flata few miles down the highway. But if she went up the road a a short ways there was another service station that did have winter air. The lady driver was very thankful for the helpful information andd proceeded on her way. A few minutes later Tim got a phone call from his buddy at "the other service station".

"what the h)$$ is summer and winter air?" Both had a good laugh over it and still do.

Yeah I'm glad they didn't blow up on her too! Yes she now has an air guage and knows how to use it! :)
