SAW IN A PREVIOUS POST THAT A 1997 DOESN'T HAVE A GIMBLE BEARING. DOES A 1998???

Your posting in the OMC setion, you have a Volvo Penta, did you mix the two?

OMC and Volvo got married for a short time and had a bunch of illegetimate drives out there.
Then Volvo got smart and took the good stuff (car,house all the friends and the $$$) and OMC went away.

Those illegitimate drives are the present day SX which were completely designed by Volvo. They basically are the exact drive as today with slight variations. Was a joint venture from 94 through 98 when Volvo bought the factory..
