Gimbal ring screws retorque

Hello,
I want to ask You question about retorque gimball screws,
Should I loosen the screw and nut and after that reqtorque again?
Ive tried 50ftlbs then 55ftlbs and the wrench clicked but still ive got some play on the ring.
So maybe the torque value is cheated because of all the crud on the stud/thread? so more accurate is to loosen the bolt and retorque ? Whats yyour opinion friends?

You can try to loosen and re torque but ime most likely the square hole in the ring is worn and won't clamp properly on the shaft. May be time to replace the ring and possibly shaft as well
