I might of installed my gimbal grease/oil seal backwards. I installed it so flat side is faceing the outdrive. I already installed the gimbal new bearing too. I just happen to be watching videos on outdrives and noticed one video mentioned the orientation of seal. Is this a problem? Or should I buy new bearing and seal? I assumed it went flat side facing outdrive because it seemed to have beveled that way to make it easier to install.

if you have the non-greaseable gimbal bearing, you don't need that seal. All it does is keep the grease from entering the engine room. Regardless it'll be fine.
